Captivating Imagery: Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer and Professional Photography Services

Andrea and Jonathan are getting married this August, so we spent a recent Sunday afternoon/evening at Highland Park for fun engagement session. The weather was perfect after a short mist of rain and we made the most of the setting sun.

This railing at the reservoir is a favorite spot for portraits and this is a stunning couple.

My thought about this engagement ring shot is: if you have a good backside, show it off!

These two were taken from above, on a wall by the stairs to the reservoir.

They brought their sweet little girl along for a few photos. She was loving walking hand in hand with her mom and dad.

I’m drawn to flirtatious and passionate images.

I also like to set up what looks like everyday scenes.

Sometimes landscapes inspire me too.

This is an example of what I call a creative edit, beyond the usual retouching with an emphasis on graphic elements.

A few weeks ago, I received an email from a young woman who was inquiring about whether or not Captivating Imagery was affiliated with Operation: Love ReUnited. Her husband will be deployed to Afghanistan in January and she was looking to schedule a portrait session for her and her husband. While, I’m not yet affiliated with Operation: Love ReUnited, I think it’s a great way to give back to our troops and their families.

We scheduled a date to meet in Pittsburgh’s Strip District for a fun portrait session. The couple often spent Saturday mornings in the Strip and for the session, we took that as a cue for some fun shots.

If you are (or you have a family member) serving our country and are about to be deployed or returning from deployment, please contact me about scheduling an on-location portrait session or a photojournalism session at the airport for a departure or return. I am offering this service for the months of December through March, and on a limited basis throughout the year.

Natalie and Chuck are getting married in August and the excitement about their upcoming wedding is plain to see. This lovely couple was so easy to photograph. They chose North Park as the location for their photo shoot and it offered plenty of great scenery especially with the early morning lighting. And thank God for good weather!
