Family Photography Session: Cranberry, PA

This recent family photography session took place at my friend’s home in Cranberry, PA. It was one of those moments that caused us both to stop and think about God’s goodness. We met at church six years ago and we were surprised to learn that we lived on the same street in Bellevue. That summer, we spent many afternoons on my front porch while the kids played in the yard. My youngest was a baby, so we naturally talked a lot about the stuff of motherhood. Many laughs and some tears were shared on blazing hot days and in thunderstorms.

Say Happy Mother’s Day with a Family Portrait

This session took place at Hartwood Acres Mansion and is the perfect celebration of Mother’s Day. Springtime at sunset and this gorgeous location make for an excellent backdrop for family portraits.

Pittsburgh Family Portraits: Spring in Schenley Park

Ushering in a new season is an opportunity to grow and approach my work bright-eyed and bushy-tailed (I couldn’t resist bunny imagery this close to Easter). At the same time, as I’ve shared this before, I love looking back on my past work to reflect on the moments I’ve captured and the families I’ve worked with. At this Pittsburgh family portrait session from last spring, I photographed the sweet family pictured here at Schenley Park.

Family Portraits: A Winter Walk at McConnells Mill State Park

As we turn the corner from cold to warm weather, I’ve been having the best time looking back on wintertime photo sessions. I photographed this sweet family of six on a snowy day at McConnells Mill State Park. For this family portrait session, we hiked together along Slippery Rock Creek and stopped along the way to capture warm family moments in the snow.
