Pittsburgh Wedding Photography at The Timberhouse at Rolling Acres

Melissa and Gabe were married two Saturdays ago at Rolling Acres in Beaver County and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. There were clear skies and no rain clouds after a week of rainy weather. So it was a gorgeous fall day! On top of that, it was just such a treat to photograph Melissa and Gabe’s wedding because their absolute affection for one another warmed my heart.

We started with Melissa and her bridesmaids at Kelly’s Cuts in Beaver. And then caught up with Gabe and the groomsmen at the golf course.

Melissa’s feathered headpiece was an awesome find on Etsy. And her flats really remind me of pointe shoes. Gotta love her details! Before I forget, I need to give props to Alex, my trusty second shooter as many of the images from their wedding are his. Thanks Alex!

Their ceremony was held inside the Timberhouse which was just streaming with natural light and the warmth of the chandeliers. This kind of lighting makes me want to shoot in black and white because it looks so good that way, but I never do because it’s always better to shoot in color and then process in black and white so you have both options. For this post, I’ll go with the black and white images.

After the ceremony, we headed outside for some portraits before the sun set. First, here’s a walking shot of the bridal party. I love photographing a bridal party like this.

Rolling Acres is a beautiful golf course and while we weren’t able to walk on the course, we could practically just turn around in one small area off of the road and had lots of lovely scenery. Seriously though, with these two, who needs lovely scenery?!?

And here’s one more. It gets dark pretty quickly, (we were only out there for about 30 minutes) but it’s a fun to shoot into the sunset, because you get so much more variety that way.

Before I completely move on from the portraits, I want to share just one more from Melissa’s studio bridal session. I’ll post the complete story on her session in a few weeks, but for now here’s a favorite.

Melissa and Gabe’s wedding reception had some great details! The flowers are by Joanne’s Occasional Flowers. I love the feathers in Melissa’s bouquet!! And the lollipop escort cards are so great!

After they were announced, Melissa and Gabe had their first dance, what a great way to kick off their reception!

Great toasts were shared, delicious dinners were served, and fun memories made all around, this post could go on and on, but I’ll save some photos for the web gallery. Many more to come!

Congratulations Melissa and Gabe! Thank you for having us as part of your day. Many blessings to you and your marriage!
