Captivating Imagery: Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer and Professional Photography Services

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the philosophy of Captivating Imagery?
Ok, that’s not really a frequently asked question, but this is a good opportunity to let you know why Captivating Imagery serves to meet the needs of modern brides and grooms. Kate, owner and primary photographer of Captivating Imagery, is happily married and well aware of the pressures involved in planning a wedding. Her philosophy is that wedding photography should be stress free. Kate and her second shooters are detail oriented and come well prepared for your wedding day. This philosophy carries throughout the whole client experience, not just the wedding day. Once your images are ready, you’re invited to a preview party to see your images for the first time on a large flat screen TV. In addition, each package comes with online proofing and a disc of high-resolution proofs so that clients can order prints at their own leisure. And for your wedding album, Kate will personally meet with you for an album design consultation to make sure the album design process is a breeze!

What is the photographic style of Captivating Imagery?
The shooting style of Captivating Imagery is rooted in photojournalism. However, portrait journalism is another term to describe the photographer’s involvement in creating the perfect shot. At various times, Kate and her second shooter will suggest poses or locations in order to achieve the best results for a variety of images.

What is a proof?
The definition of a proof has changed since the days of film. Captivating Imagery defines a proof as an edited, high-resolution image saved in JPG format. Proofs have been adjusted for exposure, contrast and color correction. The high-resolution proofs on your disc are not watermarked.

Can Captivating Imagery provide more than one photographer?
Yes. That’s the only way to go when it comes to documenting your wedding. Captivating Imagery enlists a team of professional photographers to serve as secondary shooters with Kate Miller, primary photographer.

Should the photographers be served dinner at the reception?
Dinner is appreciated. This is a welcome break for photographers to refuel and recharge. Also, most wedding guests prefer not to be photographed during dinner, so it’s a good time to take a break.
