What is the photographic style of Captivating Imagery?
The shooting style of Captivating Imagery is rooted in photojournalism. However, portrait journalism is another term that can be used to classify the style of Captivating Imagery and the photographer’s involvement in creating the perfect shot. At various times, the photographer will interact with the subject/s in order to achieve the best results for a variety of images.

What is required to reserve my date?
A retainer of 20 percent of the package price is required to reserve photography services.

When is the remainder of my fee due?
The remainder of the fee is due by the day of the wedding, upon the photographer’s arrival. Please make checks payable to Captivating Imagery.

When will I receive my DVD with high-resolution images?
The DVD will be mailed to you within two weeks from the day of your wedding.

How can I use my photos?
Clients are permitted to use photos for personal use only. Personal use includes newspaper announcements, posting photos on non-commercial Web sites such as Facebook or MySpace, and printing photos for personal display. Captivating Imagery’s wedding photography contract gives clients permission to print images anywhere and in any quantity. Images may not be sold or published without the written consent by Kate Miller, copyright holder.

What sizes can I print?
It’s up to you. All images are print quality and sized at full frame to allow for printing at a variety of standard ratios such as 4X6, 5X7 and 8×10. Larger professional prints may be ordered through Captivating Imagery at an additional cost.

Can I order professional prints from Captivating Imagery?
Yes. Professional prints are encouraged—especially for larger images intended for framing and display. Please contact us to get rates on professional prints.

Does Captivating Imagery provide black-and-white images in addition to color?
Yes. Please be sure to let us know you would like a variety of black-and-white images. There is no additional cost for this service.

Will my images be retouched?
Yes, each image included on your disc will be carefully edited and retouched as needed. This service is included in each package.

Can Captivating Imagery provide more than one photographer?
Yes. That’s the only way to go when it comes to documenting your wedding. Captivating Imagery enlists a team of professional photographers to serve as secondary shooters with Kate Miller, primary photographer.

Should the photographer(s) be served dinner at the reception?
Dinner is appreciated. This is a welcome break for photographers to refuel and recharge. Also, most wedding guests prefer not to be photographed during dinner, so it’s a good time to take a break.

Does Captivating Imagery provide studio photography?
Yes! In addition to on-location photography, Captivating Imagery provides maternity, newborn, children’s, family, and senior portrait sessions at SteelGate Studio on the South Side of Pittsburgh.

Does Captivating Imagery offer coverage for the ceremony only?
Absolutely. Partial day coverage can be booked within 60 days of the event. Please contact us to discuss your wedding photography needs.

Certainly. Captivating Imagery can cover your wedding in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. Please contact us to discuss additional travel charges.

How do I reserve my wedding date?
Email info@captivatingimagery.com or call 412-427-8371 to schedule an introductory meeting. A face-to-face meeting is helpful in discovering your wedding photography needs and Captivating Imagery’s services. Exceptions are made for out-of-town clients.

After the introductory meeting, two copies of a wedding photography contract will be sent to the client. Please sign both copies and return one to Captivating Imagery along with the retainer fee to reserve your date.

What if I need to cancel?
The retainer is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. Cancellation of services can be made 30 days prior to the wedding date.
