It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday and my wish for all of the moms out there is to find some time to nourish their passion. Before we were moms, we certainly had a lot more time for things like trying a new recipe, crafting, exercising, decorating, learning a new language, making music, you name it… As moms, we all have different demands for our attention, but over the last year or so, my two little boys have grown enough that I’m finding a little bit more freedom to do things that I enjoy outside of my role as a mom and it’s been so satisfying! And I love it when I see other moms doing the same.
Pittsburgh Children’s and Family Photography: A Sweet Narrative
/by kmillerIt’s funny how sharing new work is the last thing on my list when I’m busy. But I’ve been blessed with a busy spring and summer and after sharing the joys of photographing a lovely wedding last month, I’d like to share one of my favorite things to photograph. This family portrait session marks the first birthday of this proud mom and dad. I love how in just an hour of photographing this family on a bright and early morning, there is a sweet narrative of interactions between these parents and their daughter.
Pittsburgh Wedding Photography: Oak Lodge
/by kmillerSo good to kick off this season with this lovely wedding at Oak Lodge, in the gorgeous Laurel Highlands, just outside of Pittsburgh. I could tell this couple would be so sweet to photograph during the engagement session. They opted to do a first look so that they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family. And with the breath-taking setting of Church Rock, overlooking the valley below Oak Lodge, this first look was incredible!

Pittsburgh Engagement Session: Riverview Park
/by kmillerAny time I know a couple from my church get engaged, I get a little giddy and feel the excitement I’ve felt for friends when I was a school girl. Which makes perfect sense when I think about it because church is really the school of life for believers. Anyway, this couple is so sweet, they’re infectious and I’m so excited to share their photos with you!
Psst! How to Crush It This Mother’s Day
/by kmillerIt’s no secret that moms love photos. And these favorites from our recent Mommy & Me mini sessions go to show it. But if you weren’t able to take advantage of our mini sessions, it’s not too late to let your spouse/parents/kids know what you really want!
