Pittsburgh Senior Portraits: Fun in the City
/by kmillerWe had lots of fun with this senior’s portrait session on a very cold day in Pittsburgh. I think it was 7 degrees that morning, so while we had discussed photographing her running on a trail, we decided to improvise and find a way to capture this track star indoors!
Artwork Refresh: What’s New in 2022?
/by kmillerOver the next week or so, I’ll be updating my portfolio with images from 2021, but for now, I am excited to share my new home page slideshow featuring artwork I’ve created for my clients. My desire to help families preserve their photography is a response to a growing concern that I’ve heard echoed over the past decade: organizing and printing digital photos is overwhelming. That overwhelm leads to procrastination and then procrastination to an underlying anxiousness that we won’t be able to find our photos when we finally have time to do something with them.

Celebrating Our Family Story With A Wall Gallery
/by kmillerWhen I walk down my steps to go out of my front door, I pass through a gallery of framed prints lining the walls of my stairs. It’s like walking through a photo album of some of our sweetest moments from the time my boys were babies up through the present day. It’s a gallery that grows with our family, and of course, it features some of my favorite artwork! Our boys enjoy looking at the photos and talking about which portraits are their’s, how old they were, and what was happening at that time.
Looking Back on 2021 with Gratitude
/by kmillerLast year this time, I was tentatively preparing for a big switch to full service sessions, with an emphasis on creating tangible artwork for my clients and no longer selling digital files. I could see the benefit in serving my clients by providing a complete experience from planning through delivery of artwork. But my timing of making this transition after the shut-down in 2020 required a lot of faith. Was this a good move, or would I hear crickets?!?
