Sarah and Mike’s wedding at Phipps Conservatory

Here are a few more photos from Sarah’s and Mikes’s wedding at Phipps Conservatory.

ceremony

I love Sarah’s expression in this candid moment during their ceremony.  She looks stunning as she looks over her shoulder at her sister.

If I could do my wedding over again, I’d totally have this cake. I love those Muppets cake toppers and the cake was delish too!

Time to celebrate with some bubbly!

Cheers to Sarah and Mike!

flower girl and ring bearer

Goodness gracious, are they the cutest flower girl and ring bearer you ever saw?

the groom and his compadres

Here’s the groom and his compadres.  They totally laughed at me when I told them to be tough guys.

Kissing in the biergarten

And another kiss, but this time in the biergarten at the Hofbrauhaus in Pittsburgh’s South Side where they held a very fun and playful reception.

pretzel kiss

Their first date was in Germany, so the German atmosphere at the Hofbrauhaus held special meaning to them.

What’s really sweet though, is that this couple has known each other growing up and they actually dated for a few weeks in grade school!  Sarah and Mike, congratulations to you!

Sneak Peek for Sarah and Mike’s wedding

Sarah and Mike were married at the beautiful Phipp’s Conservatory in Oakland.  Here are a few of my favorites from the first round of edits:

More to come of this fabulous wedding next week!

Bermudian Wares

Here are two treasures from my vacation in Bermuda: Petals eau de toilette by Lili Bermuda, a sweet perfume that just debuted at the end of June; and rum cake in the Rum Swizzle flavor, a popular Bermudian drink made of dark rum and fruit juices.  More photos of the actual vacation to come…  I took a Holga 120N for those who are familiar and if you are, you know that the camera’s limited controls mean I will, no doubt, be surprised at how they turn out.  I took the camera because 1) it’s cheap and I wouldn’t feel bad if I lost or broke it and 2) because of its capacity for 120 film and endearing aesthetic quality!

Jen and Sean’s maternity session

It was a pleasure to photograph Jen and Sean last weekend.  Jen is due in July and the baby’s gender will be a surprise!  For this photo shoot, we started at Riverview Park on Pittsburgh’s North Side and then headed downtown for some riverside photos with the Allegheny River as our backdrop.  After that, we headed to the couple’s backyard garden for some more intimate belly shots.  They are a beautiful couple and the baby on the way will have wonderful parents.

Here’s a favorite shot with some lens flare over Jen’s belly.

Natalie and Chuck’s engagement session

Natalie and Chuck are getting married in August and the excitement about their upcoming wedding is plain to see. This lovely couple was so easy to photograph. They chose North Park as the location for their photo shoot and it offered plenty of great scenery especially with the early morning lighting. And thank God for good weather! We had scheduled another early morning session that was rained out, so this was “take two.” Here are some of my favorites:
