Sara and Luke are college sweethearts—from rival schools. And I speculate that the friendly rivalry they share as a result of their alma maters is one of the ways they developed a sweet and infectious playfulness that makes them so fun to be around. They were married last Saturday at Green Gables in Jennerstown, Pa., a lovely venue that is situated just about half way between Pitt Panthers and Nittany Lions territories.
Anyhow, this is just a sneak peek, so I have lots more to share in future posts, but for now, here are a few favorites from their day:

Crissy and Jason’s ceremony was lovely and they were greeted by their guests outside with flurry of bubbles. After a few moments for some family portraits back in the sanctuary, they were whisked away by a horse-drawn carriage. This was a special gift to the couple from Crissy’s mother.

Congratulations to Crissy and Jason! They said “I do” the Saturday before last at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Hermine, Pa. It’s been a busy week or two so I have lots of photos to share and I’ll break it up into two parts. Alex Jones second shot with me and we had a great day of it! To start, Crissy was stunning in her gown. Here are a few portraits from the sun room at her parents’ home.

Here’s a slideshow of Katie and John’s wedding. They wanted to be photographed with each other and their bridal party before the ceremony to save time later in their day. This worked out beautifully despite some light rain. We headed over to Hartwood Acres and spent about 40 minutes there. Then it was off to their ceremony at The Chadwick in Wexford, Pa. The ceremony was held inside, just down a hallway from the ballroom where their reception took place. It was a well-planned and lovely day – plus Katie and John were so much fun to work with. Gene Yuger of Photorise Photography second shot with me and Daisy Block assisted us. Gene photographed my wedding and this was our first time working together. Some of his work can been seen in the slideshow. The day couldn’t have been better – check out this quick slideshow for a glimpse into their fabulous day. Read more

Katie and John’s wedding had some terrific details. Katie’s flowers were shades of pink, white and green with roses, orchids and hydrangea and they were lovely from the moment her florist dropped them off well into the night and that’s something considering the humidity and heat that day. Their favors read, “Hugs and Kisses from the New Mr. & Mrs.” on the bottom of their Hershey kisses. How can you not smile when you read that? Katie wore a crystal necklace and earrings that sparkled – actually Katie sparkled in every way. Did I mention the cookie table? There wasn’t a cookie that I didn’t like – they were delicious! And lastly, they had guests sign rocks as keepsakes in lieu of a guest book. And the display was as cool as the concept with an aluminum dish, moss, orchids and tea lights. More to come of this wedding soon!
