Are you ready to book your session now? This is exciting! You’re taking the next step to making your portraits a reality. And we believe this is an investment that will become more and more valuable with time. You can pay the first half of your session fee to reserve your date (non-refundable, but rescheduling is available). The balance of your session fee is due on your session date.
There are two schedulers available: Natural Light Portraits and Studio Light Portraits. Please see examples of the different lighting below.

When will I receive an email that my proofs are ready to view?
Within one week from your session day.
When will I receive my retouched digital files?
Within two weeks from making your selections.
When will I receive my tangible artwork?
Within one month of placing your order.
We realize there are situations that require a faster turnaround. While editing and retouching are provided in the order received, we can work additional hours to provide a faster turnaround.
Our rush fee of $150 guarantees next day turnaround for your proofing gallery and 2-day turnaround for your retouched files (from the date of making your selections).
What to Expect After Booking Your Session?
First things, first! Please add office@captivatingimagery.com to your contact list so that we can be sure you’re getting our emails. Sadly, we find that clients who have not saved our email in their contacts report that our emails often go to their spam folder. We send confirmations, receipts, session reminders and proofing galleries through this email, so you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss them!
Once your session is booked, you will receive a confirmation and receipt email followed by our Welcome message with our guide containing everything you need to know about your session and a link to your client portal.
If you would like a complimentary consultation for styling your session, please reach out to Kate to schedule. She can offer suggestions for your wardrobe including color palettes. If you are scheduling a maternity session, we have a client closet with beautiful gowns and silks to highlight your bump.
If you scheduled a natural light session for morning or evening, we will send you a questionnaire with a list of location options. If you’ve already communicated a location with us, please disregard. As your session approaches, Kate will keep an eye on the forecast. If your outdoor session needs to be rescheduled due to weather, we will share a link where you can choose another time.
One week before your session, we’ll send you a reminder.
Within one week from the date of your session, we’ll reach out to find out if you would like to schedule an in-person photo reveal or receive an online proofing gallery.
Within two weeks from making your selections, we’ll send you a gallery where you can download your retouched files. If you placed an order for tangible artwork, your artwork will be ready for pickup within one month from the date of your order. If you decide to place an order for tangible artwork after receiving your retouched files, you can do that directly through the gallery. And Kate will extend your proofing gallery so that you can choose the additional retouched files that come with your order.
