Christmas in July. I know, I know. It’s the middle of summer, the sun is out, the pool is open, and here I am talking about Christmas cards. Stick with me for a minute!
Every fall, I watch the same thing happen. Families wait until October or November to think about portraits, and then suddenly it’s a mad scramble to find a date, get everyone dressed, and somehow still have time to design and order a Christmas card before the holidays sneak up. It’s stressful, and it doesn’t have to be.
Here’s the thing about booking your fall session early: once it’s done, it’s done. You get your photos, you pick your favorites, and you’ve got plenty of breathing room in November to actually enjoy putting your card together instead of rushing it. No panic, no last-minute scrolling through your camera roll looking for something, anything, that’ll work.
And there’s another reason I’m especially excited about this fall. Santa has been visiting our studio for a couple of years now, and I think parents find the whole experience just as magical as the kids do! One of my favorite things is when parents bring along the grandparents too, because they know that witnessing those moments with Santa, the wide eyes, the nervous giggles, the “ho ho ho” up close, is a treasure for the whole family, not just the kids.
So here’s my ask: keep an eye out on July 25th. I’m launching something I’m really excited about, and if you’ve been thinking about updating your family’s portraits this fall, you’re going to want to be one of the first to know.
Mark your calendar. I’ll see you back here soon!
