Pittsburgh Wedding Photography: Sentimental Details Bring Sweet Moments

When I first met with this happy couple, I was intrigued at how thoughtful they were in making their wedding plans. They were simple, but had so much meaning. This couple chose to marry at The Point, where they shared part of their first date. They met by a tree for a prayer moments before their ceremony and invited their closest family and friends to gather by the fountain to witness their ceremony—which was also broadcast on Facebook Live and later replayed for the guests at their reception.

This location is so significant in their relationship, that this groom had Trinity Jeweler’s design their rings to replicate The Point from above.

My second-shooter and I captured the bride and groom getting ready separately and met up at the ceremony.

I love this portrait of Linda under the bridge at The Point.

There wasn’t an aisle to walk down per se, but The Point made a lovely setting!

Isn’t his reaction to seeing his bride for the first time so sweet!?!

Their transportation from the ceremony to the reception was a vintage bus that the groom’s father used to drive. It is the only running bus left of it’s kind and I loved photographing them inside of it.

They invited their guests to join them for a loop around Oakmont during the cocktail hour.

Receptions are so much fun to photograph when there’s a crowd having a good time on the dance floor. And this crowd was having a good time, for sure!

They ended their evening with a grand exit illuminated by cheering guests waving fiber optic wands. Perfect ending to a lovely day!
