This lovely couple experienced what so many 2020 brides and grooms have experienced this past year. They planned the perfect wedding and to everyone’s surprise, a pandemic caused them to reschedule, not once, not twice, but three times! And I’d like to say that I’ve been in awe of this bride and groom’s patience and grace throughout.
So good to kick off this season with this lovely wedding at Oak Lodge, in the gorgeous Laurel Highlands, just outside of Pittsburgh. I could tell this couple would be so sweet to photograph during the engagement session. They opted to do a first look so that they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family. And with the breath-taking setting of Church Rock, overlooking the valley below Oak Lodge, this first look was incredible!
2017 has been a blessed year for my family and my business and I’m so thankful to my clients for the opportunity to document so many wonderful memories from weddings, to babies, to high school seniors. Thank you so much for reviewing my business on Google, for referring your friends and family, and for liking my posts on Instagram and Facebook! I’m so grateful to get to work for people like you! I’m proud to share this recap of my work over this past year and blessed to note that I’ve been able to run this business from home on a part-time basis. Which compels me to say, God is good! Just wanted to give the Lord credit for all that is good in my life: my husband and children, my extended family, and friends. Thank you all for your support. Ok, onto the photos.
As we prepare for a new year with new beginnings, what better place to start than some brand new babies!

I’ve really enjoyed photographing weddings with George Street Photography this past year and look forward to the season ahead! This recent wedding at Lingrow Farm was a treat! There are a few things that really make photographing weddings fun and a sweet couple and a bridal party that likes to dance the night away are two of my favorites! This post hardly constitutes as a recap of the day, as I just went through and picked a few favorites. When my kids are in school and I have time to photograph weddings full-time again, I’ll be more thorough for sure! But for now, here are a few shots that caught my eye.
The ceremony was moved inside due to soggy grass from the rain the day before. So the aisle was a short one, but I love this shot of the bride as she walks through the door with her dad.
It’s a treat to see the parent’s faces when I’m up close to photograph part of the ceremony from the sides. I love how intently this mom is watching every detail of her daughter’s wedding vows.
And the anticipation on this mom’s face as she watches her son say, “I do!”
What a bright and cheery recessional!
It was a bright, sunny day, so we found some shade for a few portraits before their reception.
The entrance into a wedding reception can be daunting, but I think they did it with savior faire! Congrats and blessing to this happy couple!
Cathy and Travis are getting married in Erie, Pa., this summer and they contacted me to schedule an engagement session this spring. We headed to Mellon Park on a Saturday morning and had a blast.
