I was so excited when this Pittsburgh couple chose me to photograph their Oak Lodge wedding, but I had no idea how much fun we’d have with their engagement session. It was no ordinary engagement session. They wanted to have some fun with a food fight in their own kitchen. And much like a wedding cake cutting where the bride and groom feed one another the first bite of cake, it got a little crazy! And I enjoyed capturing every minute of it!
I started my business as a wedding photographer 13 years ago and while I’m mostly a portrait photographer these days, I relish the opportunity to photograph a few weddings each year.
This engagement session in Cranberry Woods was such a breath of fresh air. It is so sweet to spend time with a young couple in love and I think when you look through these images, you’ll feel lovey-dovey too!
One of my very favorite persons is getting married. I will try not to gush too much about my excitement for this union, but I can’t make any promises. My husband and I know this beautiful young lady from church and she has babysat our boys since they were babies. Getting to photograph her engagement session means so much to me.
It was a treat to spend last Sunday evening photographing Chris and Danielle. They have been dating for 7 years and are tying the knot in August. If there’s one thing I noticed about these two, they really understand one another. When we were taking casual portraits of them talking in the park, they were totally at ease and you could just see the love. They first met downtown and share a lot of memories there, so the parks and plazas of Pittsburgh were a sentimental backdrop for this lovely couple.
